ClockworkMod Recovery is unarguably the most popular custom Recovery used for many devices. Its features make it a ‘must install’ after rooting the phone.

Recently, we gave you a guide on rooting the Droid Charge. Now here is our guide on how to install ClockworkMod Recovery on it.

The ClockworkMod Recovery for Droid Charge has some noted issues, such as Voodoo Lagfix status not properly read from Recovery, in which case you can use “adb mount” to verify your lagfix status and CWM getting over-written by stock recovery, a problem which can be fixed by flashing a custom kernel or deleting /system/etc/install-recovery.sh

Failed to mount /sdcard error(s) – Perform the following commands with ADB:

adb shell
umount /sdcard
rm -f /sdcard
mkdir /sdcard
exit
